My band at the time had been signed and my manager asked me for a list of producers we would like him to approach.
(Bob didn't just produce a band, he re-made them, co/wrote the songs and re-built them from the ground up.) Although I'm not a Pink Floyd fan, this guy produced "The Wall" He is a classically trained composer and a true visionary. This guy produced what I and many others consider to be the greatest, theatrical, Glitter-Rock record ever made (KISS "Destroyer") and on top of that, he is the man who "designed" all the classic Alice Cooper stuff. Never.not in my wildest DREAMS did I EVER think the guy who I would consider one of the top geniuses to ever work in modern contemporary music, BOB F'ING EZRIN was behind it! It was the punchline of jokes, until it was mostly forgotten. It came, it didn't work, it disappeared without a trace. "He is also a co-founder of Beat Kangz electronics, a company focused on hip hop musical instruments and the developers of the world-renowned Beat Thang."įor those too young to remember, the BEAT THANG was like the Rhythm Wolf/Timber Wolf (Both of which I love, but the rest of the world certainly didn't) + Overbridge + Gibson's Robot Guitars + I don't even know what.I am not exaggerating when I say it is probably the most maligned piece of electronic music gear to ever be produced, if you look through old gearslutz threads you'll see page after page of hilarity.
About half-way down the page.or I'll save you the trouble:
